Mason turned 6 in May. This past year a lot has happened for our fun, sensitive, temperamental boy.

Exactly one month after Mason’s 5th birthday, he became a BIG brother. And he is a wonderful big brother who always loves to play with his baby brother.

He started school and loved making new friends and playing.

He lost a bunch of teeth this past year so his mouth if full of holes.

He still loves his uncle Robbie. And he discovered that he can touch his nose with his tongue.

He loves to help out in the kitchen…mostly making chocolate chip cookies.

He likes to be happy, laugh, tell jokes and cuddle.

On his actual birthday we were at Coco Grove Beach Resort in Siquijor. The staff made a special sign for him, sang to him, and gave him a small dessert. It really made him happy.

Six facts about 6 year old Mason:

-He wakes up around 6am everyday

-He takes a nap nearly every late afternoon

-He is over four feet tall

-Reverse psychology works well with him.  “Mason you cannot be in this photo, Mason you can’t have any fun, etc”

-He is learning to read and write…even though he doesn’t really care to learn to read and write

-He is adventurous. This year alone he has done wakeboarding, platform jumping into the ocean, snorkeling, elephant bathing, tiger feeding, and swimming with whalesharks

We have had Ma$on Man in our family for 5 years now! We love the fun little boy that he is with his sweet personality. He has had a busy year traveling around the world and getting a tooth pulled out due to infection and then losing 2 baby teeth because his adult teeth were already coming in. And this coming year will be another adventure with him starting kindergarten and becoming a big brother.

We have now been parents for 10 years…how time flies! We feel very fortunate to have Kalani as our daughter and love spending time with her and watching her grow into a young lady.

Kalani is a very compassionate, easy going, funny and lovable

She loves to sing and had a singing teacher for a couple of months and now is in an International Girls choir

She loves attending the International School and has had some wonderful and fun experiences at the school

She loves to play with her friends and brother…and make silly faces while taking photos

She is growing up too fast

She still misses the United States and the family that we have there. And getting stung by a box jellyfish wasn’t great either

But she also loves the perks of living in the Philippines

Our beautiful little girl is growing up

-She is following her father’s footsteps and is pretty good on the computer

-She normally wears flip flops everyday…but recently started to wear tennis shoes so she can play soccer at recess

-She now attends an International school and has 22 classmates

-She rides a super nice bus to school

-She has been to 10 different countries…and more are planned

-In Texas she would wake up between 8-9am…in the Philippines she wakes up by 6am

-She likes to make people laugh

-She loves meat

-She is honest, truthful and obedient
