Called 2 Surf

June 6th, 2008 No comments

My brother Rah Rah took time away from school for this short spring term. Instead of going to school he is exploring a business of designing t-shirts. His new found hobby called2surf is really fantastic. His designs are witty and I could see people wearing his shirts and then everyone asking, “where did you buy that shirt?” The t-shirts are really funny if you fall into one of these three categories:

– you surf
– you are Mormon
– you attend BYU-Hawaii

I hope this business/hobby works out for him. I could see my siblings and I all wearing his shirts.

    What’s in a name?

You never think about how your kids will do with writing their own name when you decide as a parent what you are going to name your little baby.

Our little K-train has been practicing writing her name. She has been having a difficult time trying to perfect the letter “K”. Today she was busy drawing and writing and showed me that she wrote her name all by herself. This is her first autograph.

Hopefully she won’t be like her mom and write her name with a permanent marker on walls and doors!

    Good Looking Family

    May 29th, 2008 No comments

I love my family. We were able to go to Hawaii with my siblings (minus a sister, brother, sister-in-law & brother-in-law). We had a blast hanging out with one another and creating memories.

My sister’s friend took some family pictures of us at the Laie Temple. We just got them back and I must say that we are one good looking family. So far everyone who has married into our family is also very good looking. That is a secret requirement that we have…you have to add beauty to the family, not take it away!

    I’m a tia Tia

After 29 years of living on this earth and being the second oldest of 10 children I became an official aunt today.

Kalea Aurora was born in Indiana this evening at 7:30. She weighed in at 6 lbs. and 17″ long… She was scheduled to arrive on Friday when her mom was going in for a c-section (Kalea was breeched and didn’t have the amount of fluid around her in the womb that she should have had), but she decided to come early.

I am so happy that I have another reason to buy little girl clothes. If this little K-train is anything like her cousin, the bigger K-train, her parents are in for a hard year, but full of joy and happiness.

    Welcome to the world Kalea!

    First Blog

    May 18th, 2008 No comments

So I am now entering into the “Blogging World.” I have enjoyed reading my friends and family member’s blogs, so I thought that I would give it a try. Also, I want to be able to tell everyone of our adventures while we are in Scotland and didn’t want you to have to remember another website address. And also to be able to share with family the funny things that Kalani says and does on a daily basis.
Matt has been in Scotland for a week now and will be there for two more weeks before he returns back to the states and then we should all be going to Scotland together. He went house hunting last Friday and posted some pictures of the houses he looked at. Here is a link to some possible houses that we could be calling home for 6-8 months while in Scotland. We are very excited for this opportunity. I am probably the most excited since I am really going on an extended vacation.

Kalani and I have been surviving without Matt around. She keeps me entertained to say the least. Here are some funny things that our little wannabe teenager has said lately!

“Mom are you trying to ruin my life?”

While watching Peter Pan, Kalani wanted to know why the crocodile was chasing Captain Hook. I told her that Peter Pan cut off his hand and the crocodile ate it and it tasted so good that he wanted to eat more of Captain Hook. Kalani replied with,
“So before was he called Captain Hand?”
That’s our girl. Thinking outside of the box.
