The wife of one of Matt’s co-workers took Kalani and me to “The Ceramic Experience. Here Kalani was able to pick out something to paint…using those fine motor skills. She decided that she wanted to paint a goblet. Do you know what colors she chose? Pink and Purple of course.
You just go in grab what you want to paint and then leave it on the table once you are done and they clean up for you and put it in a kiln. They have a little cafe inside and a soft play area as well. A great little place. A couple of days later you go back and pick up your item.
Kalani was very proud of her goblet. Hopefully it will not break while we are here or on the flight home.

And we are back online! We went for a whole week without the internet and Kalani was very happy to be able to play her games again. She is addicted to the internet. Maybe she will follow her dad’s footsteps and be a computer programmer.
We have arrived in Aberdeen, Scotland and are doing quiet well. This is a beautiful country. All the buildings are made out of granite, the streets are kept very clean and everyone is environmentally aware. They have a recycle program in full swing here and people bring their own bags to take home their groceries.
I will try to blog frequently, but it is a battle to see who gets to use the computer…the mom or the 4 year old daughter!

My brother Rah Rah took time away from school for this short spring term. Instead of going to school he is exploring a business of designing t-shirts. His new found hobby called2surf is really fantastic. His designs are witty and I could see people wearing his shirts and then everyone asking, “where did you buy that shirt?” The t-shirts are really funny if you fall into one of these three categories:
– you surf
– you are Mormon
– you attend BYU-Hawaii
I hope this business/hobby works out for him. I could see my siblings and I all wearing his shirts.

You never think about how your kids will do with writing their own name when you decide as a parent what you are going to name your little baby.
Our little K-train has been practicing writing her name. She has been having a difficult time trying to perfect the letter “K”. Today she was busy drawing and writing and showed me that she wrote her name all by herself. This is her first autograph.
Hopefully she won’t be like her mom and write her name with a permanent marker on walls and doors!

I love my family. We were able to go to Hawaii with my siblings (minus a sister, brother, sister-in-law & brother-in-law). We had a blast hanging out with one another and creating memories.
My sister’s friend took some family pictures of us at the Laie Temple. We just got them back and I must say that we are one good looking family. So far everyone who has married into our family is also very good looking. That is a secret requirement that we have…you have to add beauty to the family, not take it away!
